Another update on Toby.

Toby's no longer being sedated, but remains unconcious. He's breathing unassisted, except when they put him back on the ventilator to give him a rest. Hopes remain high, but he's got a long way to go yet.

I saw Lucy from Imperial at the race today. She has been keeping in touch with Maya Toby's wife. Who's indeed been reading messages, but also posts about what people have been up to, to him - so carry on with these. She passed on the message that Maya said that we shouldn't stop racing because of what's happened, that Toby wouldn't want it this way.

Thanks Lucy for the loud cheers while I was carrying my broken bike, I did try to make it to finish but it was just too far!

Still thinking of you Toby and thought you would like to know that I was at the Ottershaw round 2 yesterday. The commissaire Tom McCall updated all of the racers on your condition and what had happened. We also saw the details and picture of you that were on the signing on table so all of the racers were thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. As you may have heard the general thought was it was an unlucky "racing incident" and our hearts go out to you and Maya.

The racing was quite aggressive once again with Windymilla's Alex Higham attacking several times to get away. I was able to watch some of the latter stages as I could only do the first 5 laps then pulled out as we were doing a photo-shoot. Dave K was meant to be there too , but he's allergic to rain! In the end 2 groups of 4 and 5 got away from a diminished bunch and the 9 leaders joined up, with Ashley Holding winning the sprint ahead of Andy Davies (who used to ride with some of ACC) in 3rd.

I know you would have been racing otherwise although I understand Maya was due to have a baby today so I guess you would have had a good excuse for absence. Maya - I hope the everything went well today for you. Toby you had better get well soon, so that you can look after Maya and the latest Kerr!

All the best to you all from the guys at Ottershaw. By the way I updated Doug the organiser as well as he was asking after you in particular.

Maya had a healthy baby boy at 9 am yesterday, weighing nearly 9lbs. Name to be confirmed when Toby awakens, but probably Jensen.

Congratulations to Toby, Maya and the Kerr family.

Wow another big lad in the family. Congratulations Maya and Toby, as Tamar said an emotional rollercoaster of a week to put it mildly.
