Hi, I also interested in Going Long: Training for Ironman Distance (getting my plans together for next year maybe ). I have the Triathlete's Bible and it's a good one. But I'd be happy with some "High Performance Cycling" please :D

Thanks
Lucy.

I'll take the Cloughy book.

He's from my home town, and a source of fantastic quotes:

When returning from his first trip to the USA - "That Mohammud Ali, he's met me, you know."

On a reported confrontation with Roy Keane - "I only ever hit Roy the once. He got up so I couldn't have hit him very hard"

On dealing with players who disagreed with him during training - "We leave the training pitch and go into my office where we talk about it for 20 minutes and then we decide I was right"

About the river in Nottingham where he was manager - "The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years."

On project management - "They say Rome wasn't built in a day, but I wasn't on that particular job."

And on his ability as a manager - "I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the business. But I was in the top one."
