Childrens road Bikes 2nd hand?

I know they are more rare than Hens teeth and Rocking Horse Poo,
But I am looking for my 11 year old and 14 year old, their are a few on EBAY but quite far and dont want the risk.....
That said there are some new ones on there too.........not knowing to much about bikes are they much good?

I still have the bike that AD Cycles built for Tom. It's 700c wheels on a MTB frame with carbon forks and Sunrace gears (takes a regular Shimano 8 speed block). When he was smaller, I had the seatpost flipped so he wasn't so stretched out.

I have a bike that was bought for daughter when 14, I think, she almost 18 now. Be lucky if it has done 1 mile. Mountain bike style with full suspension, so basically brand new, no idea what it is worth.

McTaffy was looking for more of a road bike, thanks
