Ludicrously Cheap MTB for Sale

Postby Andrew G » Thu Feb 12, 2009 6:15 pm

Does anyone want my old Marin MTB? £25 only.

It's a Marin Palisades Trail circa 1994. Silver 17" frame - a bit big for me really for off road but would fit a 5'6" (my height) up to 5'11".
Original and standard although some bits could probably do with a bit of a tweak - e.g. the wheels are out of true and the headset need tightening but can still be ridden round the trails as it is, they aren't that out of true/loose.
Only non-original bit are the shifters, I destroyed them, so it has some new ones on that are only about 6 months old and a reasonable spec.
I'll keep the tyres as they are new and good ones, but can put the original ones back on for you to use it straight away, they're just a bit worn. Got a couple of spare tubes that can go with it too.

I've had great fun with it but it really is just that bit too big for me. Some scratches here and there but otherwise, good.

Would make a good intro to off-roading (it has me), or could be shod with slicks for a commuting hack (it has rack mount holes).

Call me or PM and pick yourself up the deal of the year :D .

(Want to get rid of asap as I need the space, so can deliver in Croydon area if required - might request cup of tea as delivery charge though  ).
