Wanted Shimano brake washer bolt

Postby Sylv » Sun Feb 22, 2009 10:18 am

The one that goes on Dura Ace calipers between pad holder and brake (think it is different on other models - possibly) - mine had snapped, cannot find a replacement in shop

Thanks :D

have you tried one from a v-brake? if you used both washers between the pad and the brake on a v-brake im sure it would be ok.

Finally got round to looking into this, and a SPD double-holed shim (middle bit) will do nicely for now :D

I know of a really good little shop that stocks practically any bolt, nut or washer that you may need. Can't remember the name of it but it's on the corner of Donald Road where it meets Boston Road, just off the Lombard Roundabout:

They've always been really helpful in the past.

Sounds like it's in the States, but I think I know where you mean thanks!

Those SPD bits are useful, in the past I've used them to bodge carbon bottle cages with broken ends on a frame.
