WANTED: Loan of a pointy hat

As you may know, Team ACC heads to Wales next week for the RAS Cymru 5-day stage race. There's a prologue as well as a TTT so i'm after all the help i can get against the clock  If anyone has a pointy hat (proper safety one, not just a faring) that they wouldn't mind lending for the duration (1-5 July) it would be very much appreciated.

Who knows, your generosity could make all the difference between 1st and 2nd (or more likely 41st or 42nd  )

I did, but i read that as no farings i.e. it has to be a proper crash hat too, no?

i am not sure what it exactly means - are there crash-approved aero helmets?:

[quote]Riders
o must wear all four numbers for the time trial i.e. 2 arm and 2 on the back of
jersey
o may use time-trial adapted bikes for the time trial.
o must wear an approved crash helmet (NOT aero-helmets)

Do you think they will measure our saddle to bb distance? (UCI = 50mm min)
[quote]STAGE 1: Individual Time Trial
- 14 -
o Both cycle and helmet MUST conform to BC and UCI Technical Regulations
o Riders spotted drafting will both incur an appropriate time penalty.

From the organisers..

[quote] You can wear an aero helmet for the TT stages - as long as it does meet the BC standards as an approved safety helmet.

So, if anyone can contribute to the cause please let me know :D

I've got one you can borrow, LAS Crono. 54-61 universal fitting, weight 450g. Black and grey with yellow visor. V comfy.

Any damage on return and the hat's yours for the price of a new one.

Fair enough?

Snoop

I too have a Giro Advantage medium that one of you can borrow if you like, I've got a 25 on the 5th but I'll wear my fairing for that as I don't have to be UCI compliant and don't think it has any special conditions about my helmet  .
