Still having grief with my knee so didn't fancy the CR. The mtb suited me down to the ground. Lower gears and the elimination of having to grind up hills.
Had a great day. So glad it was on FB. Can't always cut through all the unread stuff on the forum. So many people on FB now, so sort it.
And another thing about doing different runs is that you still get to say hello to everybody.

Damn! Went out Friday instead of Sat. Might have joined you, Snoop, Rachel, Lucy, Marky et all, if I'd known you were doing that good route.

Really don`t want to rain on peoples parades with regards enjoying the club run and the lovely weather but I was disappointed as I drove down to Crawley to return the club`s fireguard (SCCU Rawson Shield) and went via Charlwood, only to exit the village to be faced with a number of around 20 Agreeables all over the road making a mad dash for the village sign! Only abatting their run because of the on coming car (me). I suppose what I am trying say is please use some common/road sense with regards your surroundings, it is only a country lane after all.
