Weds 16th March Looking Good Road Ride

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Is that the name of the ride - do you have to dress up, or clean your bike?

Can't believe that's got a brake at the front!

Nice cut through the girls school, but you don't have to look shifty Marco it's not a private road.

It's a bridleway, so you're OK on a bike, horse or on foot.
Just take care not to look like a paedo.

Like the idea of a 10am start - just not the E. Croydon bit...

Oh well, plan to be out tomorrow morning as a midweek treat during my week off

I'm not objecting to the fact it's not CSS for the start - just saying that I don't particularly enjoy riding into Croydon what with all the one way systems and the tram lines to negotiate.

It isn't going to stop me from coming though.

After all that, it looks like I'm not going anywhere but back to Corridori's (having already taken the blue Roberts in for a spot of maintenance...). Just cleaned half of Surrey off the Enigma after the Spring Onion went down some of the muddiest lanes in the country  and I appear to have a crack in the rear rim.

Now to work out how to get to Corridori with the bike and the new wheels cos I don't think it'd be a good idea for me to try swapping them over... recipe for disaster...

Actually, went to friend's in Sutton, with old rear wheel and new rear wheel, who changed cassettes over for me. The old rear is now at Pearson's to be sent off to be re-rimmed. I think I can swap the wheels over myself...

Still have to go to Corridori because I need to take some spares in for the Roberts - so I'll admire Tom's new bike, Phil :D

Hope you had a nice ride - seems a little fresh...

They should be fine, the temperature was fine this morning, the headwind on the other hand was not so fine.

Definitely endorse Marco's views on the sociability of the ride, and the great valley views (despite mist). These lanes are very local to me, know and like them a lot. Not sure what Marco means about the scenery past Woldingham Girls' School though ...
Sorry I couldn't make it all the way with the group, had a nice lunch arranged. Which made it rather a ride of two halves for me. I saw I was running short on time, so really had to head-bang it back home, into a nitty-gritty chill north-easter and over the A22 Caterham road drag. Still, can't potter around too much. I heartily recommend these Wednesday runs to anyone who can make them ( where art thou, Snoop?)

Howdy - Marco is extremely kind and keeps me posted on these rides. Trouble is I am in demand at the moment and a growing business needs regular servicing. I think things may quieten down a little come July.... I aon't complaining though I am missing getting out.

Cheers - Snoop
