Anyone want a ride on BH Monday?

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Anyone want a ride on BH Monday?

Could do another all day ride down to Wiston* or just morning one somewhere...?

*Isn't too hilly and won't be too fast as I may have to check the map now and again... Especially as I'm thinking of reversing the route to the last time I went there with Mike I and Phil H. And yes, it's the one with the chickens wandering around.

Anybody? Or shall I just stop off at CSS for 9.30 tomorrow and see if anyone's there?

Must admit that wind's a bit nagging - only rode to my parents (12 and half miles) but got blown all the way there and fought a headwind all the way back. So if anyone is out, please could you be a suitable windbreak for me :D

Oh well, looks like a day in bed for me - don't think I'll be up for Marek's ride and I don't have a mountain bike.

I will try and have a look tomorrow morning but I'm not holding my breath and I'll see how I feel if I go anywhere at all.

ps Arne83, is that a picture of Herr Flick?

Decided - won't be going to Wiston tomorrow. I really should go and visit a non-cycling friend who's feeling a bit low after a bad infection and reaction to antibiotics.

Maybe another weekend - though not next weekend, it's the May Flyer...

Rode down to Ditchling Beacon along the main London to Brighton roads, the breeze was helping me out a bit on the way down. Decided to take a scenic route back via Chailey and Chelwood Gate. Bliming hilly and was a howling headwind. Only did about 50 miles and nearly bonked as I came into East Grinstead on my return. That wind was horrific today.

Cheers

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May
And Summer's lease hath all too short a date

Tomorrow's commute will be downhill into the wind in and uphill with the wind back. We'll see how that goes.
