SUNDAY CR 1st MAY

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

SUNDAY CR 1st MAY

Hi All

Thought you might like a shortish ride (40 miles) SUNDAY morning to clear the head after all the wedding celebrating we've been doing this weekend!! :D :D

heading out to Kent - probably Edenbridge as it's a nice ride down - coffee stop somewhere and back to Nonna's 12.30-1.00. 16/17 group speed. Waiting to regroup after climbs.

Leave Coulsdon South at 9.30.

see you there

Jon :D :D

As long as its not the Priory. That place is crap. Take waaay too long to serve and the service is sh1t. Be better off employing a bunch of chimps than the idiots they have there now.

You never know, Jon, your cafe in Edenbridge might be open this time! Otherwise you've got my map with the cafes marked on - Occasionally Yours outside Lingfield still appears to be open every time I go past it! Or you could canvas the Redhill Airport caff as suggested by Lucy (sorry, Lady Lucy)(mind you I'm a princess so I'm above you in the food - I mean, social - chain  )

Unfortunately not many cafes can deal with 20 riders let alone nearly a hundred unless they have a good system in place

Perhaps we need to start compiling our own list of cafes and rate them as to whether they can cope with around a hundred cyclists :D

On second thoughts I might ride up to Leith Hill. Do you know of any good cafes around there open on a Sunday morning?

OMG, Ant, was it really that bad!? Tell me more! What happened? I thought it was fine today. Perhaps they just didn't like you!! I know Sarah, the manager, and I'll tell her. I'll just have to be a bit more constructive than it was cr*p and the service is sh1t.

If not Priory Farm - where? You'll have to help me out, Amy. It took me long enough to find this place. I'm running out of ideas.

Jon, our group didn't even stop, we saw a queue of 20 plus people we knew we'd be in for a very long wait if previous experiences are anything to go by. Last time we were there a woman in front of me complained about the slow service.

To be fair to Ant, Mc D's can serve that many people far more quickly - and they have burgers and are cheaper.

But then making actual tea and coffee for that many people would take longer.

Just do what we did today, tick over the miles and just head back to Nonna's.

The conquerors of Anstiebury Hill pose for the cameras (well my camera)...Dave, Marcus, Robyn, Peter, Phil, Sam and Ant. (Del had to bail out earlier and head for a family BBQ)

Cracking ride today. Great route and lovely tea stop.
Thanks to Ant for towing us all back at a fast pace into a ferocious head wind. Also thanks to everyone for waiting at the tops of the hills.

Legs feel great and can't wait to do it again. :D

That Tanhouse place is real nice, we stopped there on the training group - I've ridden past it dozens of times but never knew it was there!
