Perhaps not surprisingly, only one hardy soul joined me at CSS, namely Paul, who also had to be back for family duties.

Many thanks to him for the company and drafting opportunities! We too turned left before Lindfield and did the Slugwash Lane/One Hundred Acre Lane option, avoiding Haywards Heath.

We left at 0705 and, Paul having turned off for home at Hooley, I pulled in to Nonna's to claim the first slice of cake at 1335 (unless Andrew Green was there first!). Looking forward to the next one.
