MTB RIDE : 10 TH SEPTEMEBER

TIME : 9.30 MEET UP

I would suggest going to Leith Hill. Go there via Box hill from CSS.

suits me as long as i can make it back to croydon araund 3 pm i am ok

Westcott to Croydon is about 20 miles give or take. If you are riding an mtb figure average speed 13-14mph on road so that'll take 1.5 hours. Allow some wiggle room so you should plan to be back at Westcott and heading for Dorking and home by 1pm.
However I normally drive, park up at Westcott and head into the hills from there. If you get to Westcott for 0900 Nirvana Cycles do rides which normally finish around lunchtime:

i will drive there as well if colin comes along probably i will give him a lift as well as long as we start araund 9.30 4 hours ride and i wil have eneougt time to get back no problem

9.30 to 10.00 is fine with me ????

That's fine for me - looking forward to it. Thanks for the offer of a lift - if that's still OK, I can meet you at your place around 8.30.

I suggest we start from Westcott so anyone else interested can easily ride over from Dorking station. How about we go from outside Nirvana Cycles at 9.30?

Good ride yesterday, as the initial light rain cleared and it turned out pretty fine by the time we finished at 1. From Westcott we went up to the Leith Hill tower via the track from Coldharbour, then went round the bumps and jumps just below the summit a few times. Then down to the main road and cross country to Holmbury St Mary via the trail through Foxmoor Wood. By this time there was just enough time to do the classics - Barry Knows Best, tea & cake in Peaslake, Yoghurt Pots and Telegraph - and head back to Westcott.

Another great morning in the Surrey Hills - hopefully there'll be a few more before winter sets in.
