Weds road ride

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

See you there. (though I reserve the right to stop a little longer - maybe 17 minutes - at the tea and cake break.)

I might be out . . . but have to take my little man to the docs first, then hopefully onto school. If I don't make East Croydon, then I might be at the White Bear. Or, I might not be out at all :|

My little man has not been well either, he seems to be very tired of late

Fortunately Lucy's little 'un was OK, so she made it. In the absence of the toiling Marco, there were still eight out: Lucy, two Grahams, Huw, George B, another George (I think that's his name?), Bob, self. Mad G only just made it to the White Bear in time after a brush with White Van Man, fortunately only his pride was dented (wouldn't have wanted to be in the shoes of WVM). Better weather to finish than forecast, and usual congenial ride to Downe Cake cafe. There it was even more amiable, as George stood cake and drinks all round to celebrate his 37 years. And the lovely cafe lady brought him a chunk of walnut cake surmounted by a lit candle. Cue "Happy Birthday!" chorus from all. :D

Yep, I very much enjoyed today's ride .......... despite il duce's absence. And thank you George for treating us - hope you enjoy your celebratory meal tonight 8)

And yes we did have another George with us - George who sometimes comes does the CR, and bumped into us unplanned early in the ride, and joined us for the rest of the ride.
