Other couples might have gone shopping at Blue Water on a day like today, but not us!
After swapping Grahame for Tony at the White Bear, we headed down to Downe. Yes it was wet, and I got rather cold, and legs felt like they'd turned to stone . The view from the top of Beddlestead was amazing, swirling mists and black rain clouds over Caterham. We quickly peddled the other way! Ended up going a slightly different way to the cafe, Tony knew the roads well and took us down a very steep hill
As usual we had a very warm greeting from the lovely ladies at the cafe, and soon warmed up . . . and left slightly muddy puddles.
Nice route home, thanks again to Tony, back along The Pilgrim's Way.
Back home with 40miles on the clock, heading for a very hot shower once my feet warm up (chilblains
).
