MTB Rides this weekend ??

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

I'm hoping to make this ride; can't get enough of the trails around Peaslake!

Meet at the bus stop outside Peaslake Village stores

If you're driving from Croydon take the A25 west from Dorking, just after Gomshall turn left at a Murco petrol Station. Cross the train tracks and at the T junction turn left, follow this road for about 2-3 miles, don't worry the shop is about a mile after you first see the village sign.

There is a train station in Gomshall but the train is only every 2 hours on a Sunday, otherwise its about 45-50 mins cycle from Dorking station.

(I'd offer a lift but my car not really big enough for 3 bikes.)

Aodan.

The perfect weater continues, 5 of us met up at Peaslake this morning (6 if you include Mike Ingram who we met again on a road bike just out for a ride). Trails were perfectly dry this morning making the Pitch Hill trails much easier. The christmas pudding trail was an dry, even the gully climb at the end. Mike obliged the wannabe photograhers (me included) by dropping into the gully 2 or 3 times from various angles.

We dropped back down into Peaslake but it was too soon to stop yet so we carried on up to the Holmbury side. There's been quite a bit of felling recently in the woods on the way up, blocking some of the trails and covering others with debris. After a few detours we made it to the top of yoghurt pots then telegraph. Maria had a nasty spill here and ended up falling off on the low side of the track and get her leg wedged between 2 trees. She managed to free herself and hobbled out to the road. The others had gone on already but after a quick phone call we decided to bail out and drop back to Peaslake but when we got to the top of Barry's she had recovered enough to give it a go.

Trying to get that magazine style shot

Concentration, it was Maria's first time down "Barry knows best"
