REGULAR SUNDAY CLUB RUNS START FEB 2011

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Ok.

The Sunday Route Planning Machine (that's me and Bike Toaster) have come up with a hilly route of around 50kms from CSS, but with enough downhill and flat bits to enjoy as we enjoy springtime in the North Downs (I can hear you drooling already! :D ).

So, it's out of CSS at 9;30, over Farthing Downs to Chaldon, along the road to Caterham on Hill. Then its doooooown to Wapses Lodge and uuuuuuuup to Woldingham, past the Golf Club, down Gangers HIll to Godstone.

We cross the A25, past Godstone Church, stiff climb up the Enterdent, down Tilburstow Hill to Blindley Heath and right turn towards Horne. Up the hill past Outwood Windmill, right for Bletchingley and back up to the A25.

Straight across and along to Brewer Street, up White Hill (but not right to the top unless we're all feeling strong) along Spring Bottom Lane, Rockshaw Road and Gattom Bottom to a cafe stop at Fanny's Farm! :)

And then back to CSS or your own way home.

Weather's looking good. Sunny Intervals. See you there!

About 16/17 average, but we get a fair range of riders and we wait if people get dropped on hills.

Hope to see you tomorrow then!

Great ride today in the usual agreeable company. Thanks Del for organising the lumpy but not too grueling route and the lovely weather and Del and everyone else for the chat and banter. Good fun. :D :D I clocked 60 kms at a very leisurely 24 kph. Coffee and apricot rock cake at Fanny's - very nice! :D Cheers!! :D :D :D :D

Thanks Del for a very good route, enjoyable ride with great company and weather, I hope we do more of this on a Sunday, especially with the weather being so good :D The Coffee stop was very good too, a very quirky place (Fanny's farm), Richard (cycle cross was his usual strong self), and the tri rider, Stuart or Steve? ( I'm rubbish at names) was flying up the hills  Now just had a pizza for lunch, and watching the Amstell race, Happy days :D

OK, why does this thing sometime die when you're submitting a post??? Just typed out my ride report and it just disappeared when I went to submit  Knew I should've copied it before I hit submit...  S*d it, I'm not doing it all again tonight.

Thanks everyone for their company today.

15 of us, even though we managed to "mislay" Phil in Woldingham. After an impressive solo ride, Phil was back with us at Fanny's Farm!

There are more hilly loops planned out to Peaslake and also around Toys, plus some longer rides as the days get longer.

:)

Yes, good ride. Legs were a bit achey from Saturday's hills but I was never so far off the back and neither were Jevan and Taz though I think some of the hills were a bit of a shock for them!

Was keeping an eye out for Jevan and Taz so I blame that for the fact that I didn't realise Phil wasn't with us

Nice to go up the Woldingham climb and down Gangers for a change - not as bad as I thought it would be.

Not to worry - it meant I had the pleasure of White Hill all to myself. On the back of the Saturday CR, the Tuesday chaingang and 4 x loops of Ranmore/White Downs/Box Hill in the previous week, that was plenty for me. Day off today, and hoping all this work is going to pay off sometime soon!

great ride.
as AMY mentioned YES it was a bit shocking specially the first hill , but also was comforting to feel that no one was moaning because they had to wait for me on the top of the hills i did not feel like i am not spouse to be there.
thanks to everybody for being patient.

after coming back home and shower my sofa, tv and my cat was comfortable but i had to get to work :( :(

Another short and sharp Sunday run this week as I have to get back for family BBQ duties around midday! :D

So, 09:30 as usual at CSS.

Then Chipstead Valley Road to Kingswood, Walton, Ebbisham Lane, Headley, Little Switzerland, Box Hill (including outdoor cafe stop :D ), Pebble Hill, Betchworth, Reigate Heath and reverse club run home!

See you there!! :D :D
