MTB Ride Sun 11th July East Croydon ??

Any takers for a MTB ride from East Croydon this Sunday ?

Usual start, 10.00am from station taxi rank.

Easy pace ride over local trails, 2-3 hrs with extensions or bail-outs possible depending on who shows up.

6 of us out this morning, Mike (Wal), Bob, Sean T, Maria, Mike (East Grinstead) and me. No Marco this moring, (Happy Birthday, Marco,) so we took to the trails that I know better out towards Epsom and Box Hill. Bob turned round at Surrey Oaks Park but not before pointing out the lavender field in full bloom behind us. We continued on to Epsom Downs race course and then decided to cut out Box Hill and head straight for Reigate Hill across Bansted Downs. We did get to see Box Hill in the end but just at a distance from the Colley Hill viewpoint. The refurbished cafe at Reigate Hill provided a welcome refreshment before heading back to Croydon in time for a late lunch.
