Club Run Sat 11 Dec 2010

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Club Run Sat 11 Dec 2010

Yikes! Two weeks to Christmas Day!!!!
Here's this week's plans weather permitting... and subject to proceedings at the AGM!
Cheers! Tim

Any alternative routes/destinations planned:
Peter Smith is away this week.
A: Andrew Green: This Saturday I will be mostly on my MTB. 9.30am departure from East Croydon Station (by the taxi rank). Steady but reasonable paced ride (constant decent effort, so not a social ride although that doesn't mean we'll be rude to each other ) in the region of 3 hours. No cafe stop planned. Will be the usual-ish offroad loop I do that heads towards Farleigh and back via Sparrows Den. Unsure of trails since melt, may be a bit boggy in places, may be frozen, may be like crème brûlée, so be prepared for a bit of mud and some big gear powering over/through some sections.
B: Amy R: weather permitting, a steady ride to Cobham. Open to all comers but we will not be burning everybody off the back.

Regular Club Run
Training Group:
19mph:
18mph:
17mph:
16mph: Tim C or slower up across the Downs on my MTB if snowy/icy
15mph:
Return Routes
Regular (Horley/Lonesome Lane/Earswood/Redhill):
Boxhill:
Reverse clubrun:

Could be if I go up over Ranmore but I'll be the slowest up the hills :(

PS Hope to be up as it's our Christmas Dinner tonight...

No riding for me. Full of cold, and wanting to sleep 23 1/2 hours per day. Only waking up for sympathy and lemsip.

I'm hoping to be out for my first ride since my sinus operation. The aim is no runny nose and an absence of that old forum favourite........ snot rocketing!

I don't think I'll be in my new sparkly VC mode as I want to take it easy and it also looks like I'll have to turn for home early as I'm out with the family in the afternoon.

He will have a present for you Paul.

Del, I had the same op when I was 18 and can confirm it doesn't stop the need for the rockets, they're just more efficient. Did you have the MASSIVE splints?

I did indeed. Very odd feeling when they were pulled out the day after the operation.

Took 2 weeks before I felt like I was recovering. 4 weeks next Tuesday. I did think about going out last weekend, but the snow put a stop to that.

I hope that wasn't the result of several hours spent in sub-arctic conditions chairing the AGM on Wednesday!
Trust you feel better soon.
