Chaingang revival

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Suddenly remembered this last night - shall we try and get it going again?

Same day? Tuesdays, 7.30pm at CSS?

With separate groups for different speeds?

I'd be interested in getting it going again. Doubtful i'll be able to do next week but perhaps the week after.

Yes we should get it going again I was thinking of it for the past couple of weeks, its just that I have been a couple of times and feel unsafe riding at night with the speeds that we go, it gets dangerous in some places. That’s why I was suggested running maybe until it gets brighter out there.

But if you guys get it going again it would be a tempting offer! :D

But I still enjoy it !

Tomorrow (Monday) seems like the weather will be good! I am planning to be at the CSS at 7:30pm the usual time.

Will anybody be interested?

since there is no response and the weather is kind of wet, I wont be going out on the bike and will go running in the gym instead :D

That suits for me too. Got evening meetings at work until then.

Tues 1st Feb then for a B gang revival?

1 Feb sounds good. I'll be slow though as I'm just starting to ride after Christmas

I'll be along as long as it's not sub 0. There's only one way to get quicker.

Anybody want to do a 17/18 ride along the chaingang route rather than the usual eyeballs out style of the real chaingangers?

An extra ride midweek will do me good... probably - and it could become a more pleasant evening ride once the evenings become light enough.

Went on a ride last night. I did full route of CG but didn't feel fit at all. I'll be out on Tuesday but not fast. Shall we confirm groups on Tuesday around 17:30?

My fitness is rock bottom at the moment.
Have been laid up for the last week with a viral infection. Did 45 mins on the turbo yesterday and struggled to ride above 13mph.
Went out today and did 25 miles but was really off the pace. Heading to Coulsdon on the A23 from Croydon, I was doing 18mph on the flat and my HR was at level 4.5 where normally it's around level 3. I was almost at max climbing up Farthing Downs in my 34 x 28. Definitely not right.
I may still come along on Tues and do Amy's slower run (if i can keep up!) but I doubt i'll be at B chain level this week.
Or would I be better to just rest? Don't know what to do for the best.
