Plodders' Tuesday Chaingang?

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Plodders' Tuesday Chaingang?

Postby philf » Wed Apr 13, 2011 9:34 am

It's not that I mind being dumped within seconds by the A/B chaingangers on Tuesday nights - Steve B, typically, tried hard to keep me on the back a few weeks ago - it's just that I'm not improving by cycling solo up and down the A23. Being an uncompetitive type, I tend to drift away and stop really pushing once I realise that I'm never, ever going to catch up with the twinkling red lights disappearing into the darkness ahead.

So come on - I need some support. Anyone of around 18 standard interested in a reasonably fast-paced 2 hour rotation on a Tuesday night, now that it's getting warmer? It's a massively beneficial way to boost Saturday morning performance - and I need all the training help I can get right now. I won't mind if you drop me - I'm getting used to it.

I take it you are referring to moi and not the cat2 racer who may still be a bit too strong if he rode an unicycle.

I am game, as should anyone else who rides 17/18 be. The 19 and above will be riding with the A or B group.

I haven't shown of late due to the lack of C quantity riders.

Depending on work commitments I'll Be there if there are Sufficient numbers.

After all that fuss, I won't be out tomorrow. Cycling around Winchester instead. Hope to see fellow C groupers next week...

What time do you go past the Feathers? It's one of my sons' birthday but he probably wants to go out with his mates rather than sit at home with mum and dad.

Meet 7.30 - leave about 7.40. A/B would arrive at Merstham by 7.50. The rest of us (if there are any) a couple of minutes later...

I'm not out tomorrow, and I don't think Amy or Marcus are either. We are thinking of getting it off the ground next week (26th). in the meantime you could try to hang on to the A/B group - great training, and you'd last longer than I did..
