Mayday Bank Holiday mtb ride

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Excuse my teutonic ignorance, but you are referring to Monday the 2nd of May, correct?

I'm v. keen for that. And none of this Dunkirk style chat "uuuhhh, only if the weather is nice..." MTB's are made for mud, otherwise you might as well ride one of those cyclocrossers...

Discuss.

A warning Arnie, there has been a replacement bus service from about Ewell to Dorking today, I've checked the Nation Rail Enquiries website and as far as I can figure out the trains will be running normally tomorrow. But if they're not, you'll have problems - you probably won't be able to take your bike on the bus.

As far as your shimano cleats are concerned, I doubt very much whether you'll manage to get them to work with Eggbeaters.....haven't you tried ?

You should've got the cleats with the bike/pedals if not, you'll have to put your shimano pedals on the bike.

So go on, who’s the newest casualty?

Did someone not manage to unclip of their pedal?

my lovely bike could not not take it anymore jevon shred it in pieces it was not even worth taking it back to croydon so we removed the pedals and left it there in front of nirvana cycles in wescott village
jevon had one of his hardest rides ever i think with that bike :)

No someone (Martin) didn't manage to avoid a tree on a rather fast downhill

And he wasn't the only casualty of the day which we witnessed.........Marco found that his duct tape came in very useful to provide first aid to a lone rider incapacitated by a very nasty gash.

Hi all

It was me who ended up in the East Surrey hospital, the staff were very good by the way.

A big thank you to all of you who managed to get me back to the top of the hill :D Special thanks to Dave Lovell who got my bike home and picked me up from hospital.

Before the jokes come pooring in I managed to produce a posterior dislocation of my left sholder (yes this had nothing to do with my ass.) Imagine if the ball joint at the end of your arm came out of it's socket and ended up behind your back

Hurt like hell especially when they relocated it but I'm in one piece and it could have been worse.

Might be a while before I'm back on a bike, but I'll be back :D
