BRIGHTON (AND BACK) CLUB RUN 21st MAY 2011

This Saturday (21st May) it's the first of this year's Captain's Coastal Rides to Brighton. Hooray!!! Full details are on our website [url]http://www.addiscombe.org/[/url]
but please note the dates are out of date!! The usual CR is abandoned. The Regency Restaurant is expecting us and has stocked up on pasta and Nonna's is already making the cakes - a free slice courtesy of the club to everyone who manages the 'there and back'.

Don't forget we leave earlier and later than the usual CR:


* 7.00 18/19 mph group with Nick W
* 8.20 15 mph group
* 8.40 16 mph group
* 9.00 17 mph group
* 9.20 18 mph group
* 9.40 19 mph group
* 10.00 Training group

that is LEAVING time so get there a bit earlier.

It's a grand day out. Ditchling Beacon is always fun! Be there or be square!!

If anyone among the slower groups hasn't done the route before, it's set out on:

Well, it's not quite the standard route, in that this one turns left opposite the church on the run down to Merstham and arrives at the Bletchingly crossroads in a slightly quieter fashion. Also, on the assumption that if you're going to climb Ditchling and Devil's Dyke, you might as well do Box Hill too, this one turns off at Newdigate on the way back and follows the BH route to Nonna's.

So,if you haven't done it before, don't forget sun cream and perhaps the jelly babies for the Ditchling boost....and the pasta tonight, and a good night's sleep, and a decent breakfast, and perhaps an extra spare tube, and some cash or a card for lunch (and perhaps the train home), and be at Coulsdon South for the off at 8:20 or 8:40.

I'll be coming back with a group slowly from Brighton, so anyone doubting they can do it there and back, dont worry, we'll be in no great hurry.
