Ride this Sunday 29 May

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Ride this Sunday 29 May

I am definitely having a lie-in on Monday!

All welcome on a hillyish ride to either Clandon or Horsley (I think it's East in both cases). I know Del's are normally advertised as 17s but mine's open to all levels. Can wait if necessary or just take it easy :D

Of course, it's p*ssing down with rain I will have a lie-in on Sunday too.

When do you expect to return back to CSS and what sort of total mileage you looking at Amy?

If there is a return leg then I am in, note that I do not have a road bike yet but will pedal as fast as I can. If that is OK.

Probably be about 40 miles and hope to be back to CSS by lunchtime (maybe latish lunch...)

McTaffy, there is a return leg and it should be flatter than the way out too :D

Had a problem reading the map earlier though - the cat likes to sit on it...

Thanks to everyone who joined me on today's ride. I think a big round of applause should go to McTaffy for his storming ride on a bike that probably weighs twice as much as any of the other bikes out today

Despite the climbs up Star Lane, Headley, Ranmore Common and Mountain Wood, Alan was never far behind and just kept plugging away. Watch out for him when he gets a nice shiny lightweight bike!

Anyway, nice little ride along some quite pretty lanes and with a fair variety of terrain to keep it interesting :D

PS please could someone find my climbing legs - they're still missing....

Thanks Amy for a thoroughly enjoyable ride! Really nice route and once again it included a few lanes new to me around the Horsley/Cobham area.
Great bunch to ride with and as Amy says 'well done' to McTaffy for his efforts on his heavyweight machine.
See you on the next one :D

Thanks Amy for an awesome ride. Never done anything like it and looking back am amazed I am still in one piece.

Thanks to everyone for being so patient with me on those long climbs, you guys were great.

Can't see me doing it again on that bike as I really would need a brain transplant but as you said one I have the new one and have settled in to it I am sure I will be up for it again.

Once again thanks Amy.

I don't know about awesome but it was nice to revisit some old lanes - I'd forgotten how pretty Mountain Wood and Sheepleas were :D Managed to throw in a couple of different roads on the way back to the previous ride out that way.

Yes, a lighter bike would help but we weren't overly slow today by my books, 14mph in hilly conditions (not to mention the wind) wasn't half bad!

Nice to know Nonna's was open - lunch was very tasty and really quite welcome :D

Fantastic ride. Loved the hills and the challenging road surface - although apparently a bit too much for my front tyre/tube. Cheers Amy and all, jp

And your flying water bottle, my reflector and the broken spoke. 4 incidents with 5 riders, hopefully better luck next time.
