What a brilliant TdF!! For those of us whose lives are now an empty shell till next year...

This Saturday (30th July) it's Stage 3 of this year's Tour of the Addiscombe Country - Couldon Brighton Coulsdon. Hooray!!! 150 kms with a nasty Cat 3 climb @ 65 kms - the Col de Ditchling - and a series of Cat 4s on the return leg. So one for the breakaways. Feed station: the Regency. The peloton(s) sets off from Coulsdon South Station...

Wear Team Addiscombe Kit. Bring a camera and Spare inner tubes - unfortunately the Team Support Car is in for a service. Don't forget we leave earlier and later than the usual CR:

* 8.20 15 mph group : JohnS,JohnCz
* 8.40 16 mph group: Phil, Tim, Alex
* 9.00 17 mph group :
* 9.20 18 mph group : Del, Jeff
* 9.40 19 mph group : Stephen, Ant
*10.00 20 mph group : Serge
* 10.05 Training group

that is LEAVING time so get there a bit earlier.

Unfortunately I can't be there - parties on Friday and Saturday (nothing that exciting - life on the hard shoulder believe me)and I'm too old to sandwich a 100 mile ride in between.

Is there a route link somewhere? I may make my own way down and as I've only ever done it head down in a bunch I have no clue other than the default of blatting down the A23

I prefer to avoid Haywards Heath by taking a left at Lindfield, then a right then left across the A272, down Slugwash Lane, right at Wivelsfield and back onto the B2112 to Ditchling.

As I accumilated some HOME bonus points onWednesday as I got home 1hr early, I have been given an ALL DAY PASS for Brighton (Being economical with TRUTH as my darling wife Maxine encourages me to Enjoy myself )...........So I will be riding 16miles to Coulsdon then Joining the 15mph group at 08.20.....then ride to DITCHLING and walk up........As i want to save my energy and legs for the Down hill into Brighton (I MUST CONFESS THIS IS ANOTHER LIE (Economical truth) AS IM NOT FIT ENOUGH)...........Then Pasta....Ready for the long drag home.......Hoping to ride 125+miles with NO time limt.............As long as I'm home by Sunday at 2.00pm I will be fine as I have a Family BBQ at 3.00pm in Yalding.......
