Weds Road Ride

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

[quote="marco"]You know the meeting place and you know the cafe and you know the time...
But for any first timers out its East Croydon station at 10am with a stop at Downe cafe.
Pace is easy, basically we see how quick or slow Roy wants to go as that suits us best and it means we can chat easily wherever we go.

Aiming to be back in Croydon for 1pm - We do need to keep the cafe a bit shorter than currently - when we started them it was a very quick in and out and we need to get back to that for the guys that are rushing and need to get back to work. We can always split at the cafe if enough people want to take it easier or even do a longer loop to get back.

If its raining it will be a short local loop with no stop.

May see you at the cafe as have to wait in for delivery, cheers, Alan

:( :( IT WAS GONNA BE THE DAY!

Nice sleep, super food breakfast, ( no rain, - at 8.00am ), Kindly arranged by Wayne  , New bike, school uniform for the first time ever ( ACC Club Jersey ) :D - appreciated by lot's of driver's up until Ewell West :D  , and then " MY ONLY SECOND PUNCTURE EVER" at 9.05am :x :x , I'm really, really annoyed, that is why I was "No show Ladies & Gents", I had to turn back as even if I had been able to deal with it, I still would not have been on time, Sorry, there's loads of Bracken AND broken bits, on the one way system at Ewell West, my lovely boys at Halfords found a puncture in the inner tube, praying it was not the tyre, as I only picked up the bike last Sunday, Is there any chance someone could arrange a "Special ride - Just 4 Me " either Fri or Monday :?: to make up for all of this :?:  :D

Nice but shorter ride. Caught up with them due to Monica's puncture - sun came out as well. Cheers, Alan

You beat me to it, Alan. Here's my version of events:

A jolly group of seven were out for the Wednesday ride today, led by the shy and retiring Graham: two bus pass holders, two under-20s, Kaschpar and me.
First-timer Jamal seemed remarkably perky for someone who’s observing Ramadan (that’s right people, not even a glass of water!) and he’s looking to start racing. I gave him the hard sell on the Addiscombe, telling him how much racing knowledge is waiting for him in the club. (I’m not an Agreeable myself, but happy to work on commission.)

Low point: puncture in Beddlestead Lane
High point: having five people help fix my puncture
Middle point: finding a topic which wouldn’t wind up anyone at the tea stop in Downe.

If I ever have a Wednesday off again, I’ll be back. Looking forward to it. Thanks all!

[quote="marco"]Never mind Rachel , I had to stay in to catch up on work only to be greeted with a power cut at 9.30, my PC switching off and my burglar alarm tripping out and waking the whole street up!

Hope the guys had a good ride under M Graham's guidance

Cheers Marco, So glad I haven't busted that tyre, hope your all powered up again :D .
