CLUB RUN LIST - WEEK SAT 27th AUG - TULLEY'S FARM and BACK

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

CLUB RUN LIST - WEEK SAT 27th AUG - TULLEY'S FARM and BACK

Postby Jon C C on a Bianchi » Thu Aug 25, 2011 10:03 am

Dear Agreeables

The cafe at Charlwood is closed so we're all heading off somewhere different   this Saturday - Tulley's Farm cafe at Turner's Hill :D . The route is as long as the usual Charlwood ride so you will be back at the normal time. It's a bit lumpier so come prepared for a bit of climbing. We will wait to regroup at the top of climbs. 8)

We will have the usual speed groups but given the profile expect to come in about 2 mph down on this. :D

The proposed rides for SATURDAY 27th AUG are...

the Regular Alternative Club Run to Tulley's Farm...15,16,17,18,19 and 20 mph groups. TGA and TGB will probably do their own thing.

Alternative alternative: Leader: Andrew G - Ranmore-Coldharbour-Ockley-Weare Street-cafe stop at Henfold Lakes-return reverse of normal CR. 18 mph standard. :D

SUNDAY 28th AUG - Leader: Del meet 9.30 at Coulsdon South 16/17 mph standard.

He's thinking of doing something based around the London 2012 course.... well the Box Hill part of it!

So, probably a short cut out via Walton to pick up the route at Headley, then down Little Switzerland, up the zig-zag, along the top of Box, back across Headley Common, 2nd time round Little Switzerland and up the zig-zag to the cafe at Box. Medal presentations and then home!

WEDNESDAY 31st AUG

Leader: Marco - steady, leaisurely ride around the lanes - meet 10.00 @ East Croydon Stn :D

I dont intend to come across mean and I'm happy to see the various rides now being embraced. Of course there is place for the CR, but the introduction of more rides and different routes can only be good for the growth and enjoyment of the club members. And I do miss the club and the friends I made.

Farmers?

Just Mike and Mark with me on the alternative, quality not quantity :D .

After Coldharhour stayed high a bit longer and instead of dropping into Ockley and ran along the SCCU Sporting 10 course back leg through Walliswood before dropping down to Weare St. Nicer route and what I'd sort of intended last week but took a turn too early after Coldharbour.

Wonderful big slice of superb cake at Henfold Lakes before heading home.

Smashing morning. Cheers Mark and Mike.

Bit off a Challenge which was exciting. Some times the CR can be a bit of a bore. we went up Farthing Downs past a runner and headed towards Bletchingley.
