Sorry you couldn't make it, Marco. Great ride today. Six of us - Kasper, Alan M, Grahame, Nick, Godfrey and of course, me. We rode through Addiscombe for a change - the crowds were out to cheers us on - it's not often that the good people of Addiscombe get to see their cycling club in all their yellow (gold) glory - we gave them a wave, they were very appreciative; Elmers End and then up through West Wickham, down Cork Screw and then climbed all the way up to the top of the ridge via Beddlestead. Grahame hit a pot hole and went arse over tit - fortunately no serious damage done.
Nick left us at the top to go home and work!! The rest of us went to Beaver World for breakfast. Nice.
Fast, fun descent, then up Old Hill, Jackass Lane, West Wickham and home. Lost Kasper at Coney Hall - he'd popped into the Co-op for a couple of doughnuts (full English obviously not enough for a growing lad). Dropped into GBs on the way back and met up with Kasper again and admired a titanium bike - spitfire III - nice.
I clocked 70 kms - E.Croydon/Redhill - 306 metres of climb. Good fun, thanks everyone.
