I tipped a Fiesta XR2 onto its lid dropping down Paddock Hill Bend a few years back. My fault, I started to brake at the stop braking sign and hit the corner at about 90mph. Note sure who was more terrified - me or the instructor.

Mk2 XR2 was my first car , great little car for buzzing about in. Not great insulation though, the windscreen used to freeze up on the inside.

Is it the race circuit you'll be on Ed? Never raced on it myself but motor racing circuits are notoriously hilly and hard for a bike. Brands Hatch has a couple of what I would imagine could be nasty hills in a bike race.
