G25/89

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

I've got a race on the above course next Sunday and haven't ridden it before.

From the startsheet it's a simple out and back affair but what's it like to ride? Surface? Any drags of note on the way out or back?

Cheers.

I've done the 2 lap 50 version.
IIRC it's a rolling course, but nothing much to worry about. But then again it was a few years ago so my memory could be failing me and it could be the hilly course from hell.

go for it. I've ridden it a few years back. The only bit I didn't like was the the sharp corner & up a little hill, shouldn't bother you though a strong fellow like you! Anyway the scenery is nice.

Thanks.
I've subsequently found a garmin profile of it (Steve Dennis' and he did a 52.08 so not that hilly Jon). They help but not as much as someone who's actually ridden it and I can see the hill you mention Joyce, after about 4.5 miles but doesn't look that bad. Yep, scenery should be a bit better than your standard blast up and down a DC as it's a nice area.
