The ACC Club Championships was held on Sunday 17 October at Herne Hill promoted by VC Londres as London League Round 5. The best ACC rider awarded the Champion’s Trophy is Sylvain Guarde, the award will be presented at the January 2011 club dinner. Aodan and Lucy should be commended on their efforts. The VCL event was held on a Sunny October afternoon with 150 senior riders and 80 Youths and under 12’s racing.

ACC will be promoting LCCA Round 10 – at Penshurst Off Road Cycling - Grove Road, Penshurst, Kent on Sunday November 28 2010.

We will be trialling the Beastway electronic timing chips for the Senior Event.

There's seems to be quite a buzz about Cyclo Cross from what I can gather on other forums. Any chance of a write up. We know Sylv won but who else was on the podium? Oh and why was it promoted by VC Londres?

I didn't win Toks, far from it, Taylor did - after beating all the juniors last week at the national he beat some handy seniors. Check out Phil Jones' video to get an idea of the speed.

On that video you can also see me starting back in about 50th place, this was my first race this season so I wasn't gridded. It took me over a lap to catch up with the first woman. Least you can say is that it was crowded, on a course that took less than 6min to go round.

I was on my mtb as usual but enjoyed it so much it spurred me to finally splash on a proper cross bike. See if that makes me any faster! It's a good blast, one hour pretty much flat out all the way. Great weather nice and dry course. I love racing in the mud too, but it takes more willpower to get out of bed when it's wet.

Yes funny to see big mtb races poorly attended, and some 150 riders here. I read there were 3000 spectators at the Halloween cross there last year.
