JBS Road Race 2008 - WCRA request to include their ladies

I have discussed with BC the idea of promoting a WCRA road race concurrently with the JBS RR and we could possibly run both, but it would need a degree of commitment from club members and WCRA (I do not know the extent of their involvement at the moment), as it would involve running 2 races.

The WCRA could start at say 10:00am for around 2 hours, then our RR could start at 13:30 as normal finishing around 16:30.

If we use ACC bodies for both races it is a very long day, and we would need some people in place early in the day. If WCRA are prepared to share marshalling duties, then it could work.

Hall hire would not be a problem.
Commissaires could double up, or they have their own.
They would have to provide judges.
We could provide SL equipment, but they would have to be responsible for their race.

Any thoughts?

Paul, is this women's race going to form part of a women's team series ?
I mentioned this to Tamar the other day before your commitee meeting as I'd been asked about it by a guy from WCRA.

If it's the same thing you're talking about I think it would be a good idea as the team series is popular and they are well attended by women.
A great way to get the ladies out on a Saturday morning !
