www.agiskoviner.com Open 50km Hilly TT 7th October 2007

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

We are looking forward to receiving entries for our forthcoming open hilly 50km TT based on a rolling course (H31/9) around Hampshire on the 7th of October. The roads are good, with some dual carriageway and plenty of wide country lanes. The minimum prize list is likely to grow as we get donations from club members and sponsors. Interestingly, we're following the format of a few other promoters and offering separate prizes for fastest on a standard machine, with NO aero assistance, including overshoes, pointy helmet, skinsuit or deep section wheels.

Our organiser is John Glaysher, and entries can be sent to him, with a cheque made payable to "John Glaysher" at 22 Border Road, Haslemere, Surrey, GU27 1PG. Entry fee is £6.50 and first rider off will be at 0800.

Every rider will receive a racing photograph with the results sheet, courtesy of Dennis Sackett at http://www.cyclingphotos.org.uk.

Minimum Prize list

30 Live Strong wrist band to first 20 and last 10 finishers
11 Limited edition Craig MacLean & Chris Hoy posters for finisher numbers 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 - if you're not at the prize giving to receive them, they'll be given to the next rider back until all are gone! Nothing will be posted!

Andrew Holyoake, the UK importer for agisko products and CEO of http://www.bottlesport.com will supply the following to every rider who signs on and rides:

1 x agisko cloth bag
1 x gel sachet
1 x agisko branded water bottle

Looking down the prize list, I am intrigued by the notion of a women's specific heart rate monitor  . Does anyone know how it might differ from the boys' version? (Misogynist dinosaurs need not reply, but probably will  .)

Dear Mr Agiskoviner,

I would like to apply for the job of "Ladies specific heart rate monitor". I have a keen interest in all things in the area, and would very much enjoy this hands-on role. I also have valuable previous experience as junior school milk monitor.

Regards,
