Better for the SCCU 25

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

I'm last man off - at least no-one will catch me. Then again, it's a two lap course so someone on their 2nd lap could me on my 1st - all very confusing. I wonder if I'll catch PVT?

Delighted to see I've got that Brent feller bearing down on me - can't prevent the inevitable but it'll help me get a shift on......

If last year is anything to go by, I think the whole field cold have caught me, but.....a year older and wiser (I think) may be a different tale, but with 70+ miles the day before and 30 miles in the morning as a warm up, who knows...

Well it started snowing here at 7am, I left at 8.15am got to Reigate and it was getting worse and thought, sod this, went back home. It is still snowing so probably a wise decision. Roll on the Tour of Flanders this afternoon. :D

Set off in light snowfall which got heavier towards HQ. On the course no snow  . Drove round and thought - this looks a good circuit I'm up for this. Turned into HQ and within 10 mins there was heavy falling snow coupled with treacherous local road conditions. Watched George set his bike up, admired the Guru's war wounds then sheltered inside - snow fallin all the time. Coach Viney and Joyce arrived, when I say arrived I mean skated - into the car park.

At this point there were a few determined chests puffed up in the HQ - I made it easy for everyone - stuff this for a lark I'm going home.

Real shame - like I say a good circuit - this was to have been its first ever use as a TT circuit so a missed opportunity for the record books :( and no tongues out today

Even worse, I got home and the family chopped my legs off, covered me in snow and left me in the garden to freeze - pah!!
