Chertsey MoD

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

So whos up for continuing the Addiscombe racing band wagon at the weekend?

4ths @ 10am

E/1/2 @ 11.15am

3rds @ 11.16am...

At least you get more of a lie in once you get up to third!

No you don't. You get to come down earlier and support your clubmates in the 4ths. If you don't I won't cheer for you in the 3rds.

I might give it a shot - depends on the child care arrangements. I suspose its likely to be jammed like all races this year!

The last 4th cat one I did there had a 75 rider field I think. Wasn't too crowded as it's a wide circuit. No limit on numbers though due to the size of the circuit - wide and 2 miles long.

Thats the place adam, its not very well marked (or not at all ) on the surrey A-Z, i guess its coz its a secret!
M25 to Chertsey juct 11.
Follow signs to the hospital. Surrey league instructions as to how to get to the course are spot on.

I followed these directions from the AA website and found them spot on. The entrance in slightly hidden, but look for the sign "Qinetiq" on the left once you turn on to Chobham Lane.

Oh by the way you park and register in the carpark by the gates, but you then have to drive over the bridge to the circuit (they don't let you leave your car in the other car park (security?)). Not sure if you'll have the same problem with a later start, probably register over at the circuit, the "Fab 3" will know.

AA directions:
Leave the M25 at junction 11 (signposted Woking A320, Chertsey A317), then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto St Peters Way - A320 (signposted Woking) (A320)
At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Guildford Road - A320 (signposted Chertsey, Staines) (A320)
At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Guildford Road - A320 (signposted Chertsey, Staines) (A320)
At roundabout take the 1st exit onto Holloway Hill - B386 (signposted Windlesham) (B386)
At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Chobham Lane (signposted Egham)

Is it true that there's no limit on numbers?
I ask because they've lost my pre-entry. Do you think I can enter on the line?

I dont think there is a limit as it is a closed circuit and there was 80 3rd Cat riders last time.

I hope to be there on Sat as well.
