Presidents 10

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Presidents 10

Do you have to formally put your name down to enter the Presidents 10?

As the event is run as a handicap, it helps if we know in advance who's riding so we can work out the handicaps and give the result on the day.

Jon, do you need some help with this one? I feel obliged, having arranged to be away for both the ACC 10 and SCCU 25 this weekend?

Requests for an extra big push on the back of a fiver please; requests to hang onto your minute-man on the back of a tenner.

Isn't it the done thing for a certain faction of the membership to particpate on a ridiculously out-of-keeping bicycle or wearing some outlandish costume (or both)?

I've heard tales of riders on BMXs with aero-bars or wearing sombraros instead of aero helmets, is this correct?

I'm not suggesting for a moment that this is anything other than a very important event and should be approached with the uttmost seriousness but, well these stories are out there - the members need to know.

And if Paul Tunnell and Tamar are ridding a tandem dressed as rabbitts I'm calling Phil O'Connor again :-)

Huw, it's as serious or non-serious as anyone likes to make it. There will be prizes based on handicap, and I dare say a prize can be rustled up for best fancy dress too.

Can anyone top the combo of Marco the ninja and Graeme the country gent?

Does this inquizitiveness mean you'll be joining the dark side for a day Huw?

If it helps I'll be on my new fixie with some fancy wheels, so it could all end up a bit pear shaped. Not got any fancy dress though, any suggestions? (Now that was a silly thing to write  ).

Hmmm... I must say I'm tempted to try it on my 68" fixed for a giggle. Though my butt won't be laughing at the cadence down the home straight
:-( I'll give it some thought - hard to turn down the trainning group on a saturday though

I've always thought you'd make a good xmas elf andrew
