Spring running races

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Spring running races

Postby Maria David » Wed Mar 09, 2005 12:34 pm

I will use this thread to mention running races during the Spring.

1st off is the Croydon 10k @ Lloyd Park on April 3rd. This is a popular race with Addiscombe riders who run.
Not sure if it's a pb course (it could be if this is your first ever 10k !) but the undulations make it a good leg tester and build strength.
Also a good bit of speed work for anyone running a marathon.

Details are on croydon10k.com

I've missed it for the last two years but this year I think can make it.
Seeing Marco running with his mobile phone taped to his arm was good fun last year. But I'm certainly not sprinting for the whole 10k! [Edit: I had misread the post's title as "Sprint running races"]

I plan to do a recky run of the course either one of those evenings around 7pm, or on a weekend day morning. If anyone wants to join, we can meet at Lloyds Park tram stop, which is near the start point.
