Wanted - Jill for a steady Jack

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Wanted - Jill for a steady Jack

Postby Robert » Wed Jun 27, 2007 10:58 am

Its nearly Jack n Jill time, so I figured I would get my pitch in early. Are there any likely Jills who want to be towed by me? After all I`m not a total slouch. If there is then I`m ready, willing and waiting.

Heard about all this!!! I presume this is not some dating agency thing - so what's this Jack and Jill all about? Does the Jill have to be good? (Time Trialling boys, get your brains out of your chamois!!!!) It's all a mystery to me!

No qualifications on the Jill apart from them being female.

2 riders (1 jack, 1 jill) set off together on the normal TT course, time of the jill across the line stops the clock.

If you've got a faster jack then being a gallant gentleman he should set pace with jill tucked in behind him enjoying the draft until the last moment when jack moves aside to let jill take the line and glory. If you've got a slow jack you may have to kick him a bit or even get on the front yourself and show him how it's done

They can compete but as Keith's only 2nd claim they can't claim a prize. :D

I'll throw my tatty hat in the ring as a Jack if there's a Jill in need. If not I'll go solo, oo-er missus.

Tamar's laid claim to MrPVT as her Jack, or me if he's unavailable.

Ah a game of star wars

C'mon Tamar relax a little- pick a slower rider and do it for the fun rather than the glory.

I did! I picked Mr PVT. :)

Seriously though...why wouldn't you want to ride to win?? Or at least ride to do as well as possible??

In these days of equality shouldn't us gentlemen be towed around by a nice fast lady. :D

Hey Carole - I will be back from my Italian adventure in time for this - and as I see it - it counts as training for the SCCU 100  . If you don't already have a Jack - I reckon you and me would make a good team - our times are close enough that we could make a good go of this, whaddya say...? (this feels a bit like dating in the skool playground  )

If you've already accepted a better offer then that'll teach me fer being too slow.
