There is a prize for the fastest rider in the event on a standard road bike - no flash wheels (Discs, tri-spokes, etc), tri-bars, or pointy helmets.
Who's fastest without all the aero aids?

Entries on a CTT form with entry fee (£6.50) should be sent in by the end of this week. If you want to enter and don't know where to get a form or how to fill it in let me know.

I usually do this event. It is always well run and has a good field.

I use my tt bike but am still nearly 5mins slower than Keith and co on their road bikes.

I think Paul Mill won last year with a short 20 on his tt bike and then went out an hour later on his road bike and still went under 21mins.

Phenomenal.

Can't remember the time but I think the flyer/ad I saw said course record on a road bike was a low/very low 21 so that must have been him.

Tim Stevens was pretty quick in the early season TT's on a road bike, but haven't seen much of him since....
