Just checking the CTT website for next years dates and it looks like I might be able to do a "full set" of National Champ's next year as 10, 25, 50 100 and 12 hour are none too far away.

How about an ACC team in each one as well?

Hillclimb Paul?
When are SCCU dates available for next year. I'm going to Italy but when I'm thinking is near the first 25 (not sporting). I can move my dates about but need to book before Christmas to get a 10% discount. Will I have to wait until the handbook in Jan or are they available before the year end? Thanks.

Andrew, I have a provisional list of all London South district open events for 2008, so I'll post info on SCCU dates later.

Paul/Sylv, I think a lot of people will be up for the 12hr next year.

I was contemplating the TTT, but 6th July could clash with stuff like the SCCU 50. But assuming the date is OK I reckon we could get 2 or 3 teams into that. What a great day out that would be.

P.S. Paul, I think you might be a bit too old got the GHS.

Cheers Jon, the SCCU 25 looks like it's a week earlier than this year which is rather convenient.

Do you know of any 12h events earlier in the year?

What's the rule do you just stop at the 12h mark or finish your lap like in mtb races (unlikely)?

I doubt I can be aiming at the club record 262 miles but would be looking at 240.

Are Ipods allowed? :-)

Had a look on the CTT site and they were all in July/August/first couple of days of September. Makes sense as you need it to be light all the time. People will do these on full lightweight TT rigs, disc wheels etc. Don't want to be strapping lights on those. 8)

12hrs use a main circuit and a finishing circuit I think. You wouldn't finish a lap as it still wouldn't be a small lap but continue on to the next marshall, which they load the circuit with towards the end. They'd record your arrival and then they calaulate back your total 12 hr distance.

I was told earlier this year that there is a CTT rule that says no headphones unless a hearing aid, so no go on that one I'm afraid.

On my first 12 hour I passed a timekeeper at 11.59.... and had to keep going for about another 10 minutes up some great hill (well it seemed like it  ) before I could stop

Needless to say the last two years my time has expired very shortly before arriving at a timekeeper 8)
