As a once-avid road-racer, whose not raced for a while now and is probably not going to road-race again (not seriously anyway) I was wondering whether I should maybe ride just one more road race????? Ideally - it would be on some super-tough hilly circuit - but they tend to be reserved for higher category races plus I'm really not fit at the moment. I won't race with the loonies (as others have described the inexperienced riders) at Chertsey or Spillingdon, so I'm really not sure what event to target. Palace is definitely not my prefered circuit. Where are we likely to get loads of ACCers out this year? It would be great to ride with a good ACC turnout and a refreshing change from what I got used to. Cutmill in Sept is a maybe - although most of the regular ACCers will be at least 2nd cats by then and race starts at 09:30 which is an obscene time to do anything on a Sunday morning.
Any suggestions????
