Since you took part in the last race at Eastway, I hope you will be interested to know about the London Criterium Championships taking place on Saturday 6th September 2008 at Hog Hill.

Endorsed by the London Alliance of British Cycling's E, SE and C Regions, this is the first time in many years that a proper London Championships has been held in any discipline.
On the new full 2km circuit at Hog Hill - which had better be finished by then... - the events should be a true test of London's best riders. We will be awarding London Champion titles to the following categories:
SENIOR (E123)
JUNIOR
WOMEN
YOUTH - A, B, A women, B women, C, D & E.
The Senior, Junior and Women's events are National B, Band 3 with high points. They are Open events, so you don't have to be a London resident to take part.
The Youth events are part of the National Youth Circuit Series; making them even more important.
Sorry, I did ask for Masters' titles, but this was felt to be a race too far for one day.
We have a very full programme of events which I hope you will recommend your members to support so they can try to bring the London Championships home to your club.
All the races are Open as well so those who reside outside London need not feel left out, even though they won't be getting the London gongs.
Let's make this a day to remember, after so long without a facility. The new circuit really does look like it's going to be a highly suitable relocation and you can be sure that efforts to secure a proper legacy on the old Eastway site are continuing in hope.
