Hillingdon Grand Prix E12 17th May

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

National A!

Anyone else fancy it? Or am I mad?

No EOL - entries close 3rd May

Hey Sylv, this is a National round, it is full of teams with protected sprinters. It is most unlikely that anything will get more than 2 mins up the road before they are brought back and it will come down to a sprint. Unless the top peeps are in the move then the bunch might just roll round..........mmmmmm

It might be a bit of a shock when they go and it's all in one long line but having said that I reckon you could hold the wheel and finish in the main bunch.

They normally run these events the other way round ie clockwise with the finish by the large hardstanding area at the end of the straight.

Just for the experience I'ld say do it but stick with the local riders you know, cos it will be seriously fast.

Cheers Keith - I saw you had replied and thought, oh no he's going to say do not do it (I still have half an hour to retrieve my entry from the post box!).

For experience like you say. Oh just realised - national race - does that mean ACC pays for the entry :D

Only if you win

I can see the headline...."Lone Addiscombe rider breaks clear of Premier field to win by 1/2 lap"

Go for it Sylv.
