Cold baths!!

Postby Nick » Sun Nov 13, 2005 5:07 pm

After much debate in the Cafe concerning Cold Baths  I took one when I came home after the Club Run.

I filled the bath and took the Plunge :o after the Loud screaming and shivering it wasn't to bad and must say I did feel alot better after.

I would recommend it to all budding TV's and Drag artists  .

Nick, my top tip is lay in the bath and then fill it up, it's a lot less shocking!

In a frog-left-in-cold-water-pan-brought-to-boil-without-it-jumping-out way?

Given the choice, I'd rather jump in a full bath though.

Well, it's good enough for Paula Radcliffe, who swears by it, so it's good enough for all of us.

It definitely gets rid of any potential inflammation, and soothes aches if you've got tendinitis already.

It's worth getting used to it now - cold water temperature is cool enough to be effective - however in summer, you may have to add ice in order to get the full benefits..... you've been warned !
