Energy Drink

Postby Rob W » Tue Apr 06, 2010 8:26 pm

I have been using Winter Training Formula for a while now, which is a Carb/ protein mix.The problem i have is that when i go into the red i seem to want to be sick.So i was wondering if it might be the protein and was thinking about trying just a carb mix for on the bike and save the protein for recovery. So can anyone recommend any carb only energy drinks.

Found the Allsports WTF good for training, loads of choice out there. Like the Torq, Infinit. Also SIS's PSP, HIGH5, etc

Just a case of seeing what suits you best.

Recommend you try before using in a race.....

As Mr.K says, experiment. I wasn't struck on Torq drinks but the black cherry yoghurt gels are nice. I find for carb drink SIS PSP22 seems to work best for me although I only have the orange flavour, don't like the others at all and I have a bit of a delicate stomach so tend to stick to what I know and can trust now. I find the carb drink great and can keep riding and riding as long as I shove that down. I don't mix it as concentrate as they say on the bottle as I find that a bit too sickly.
