The ground was really pretty solid, only a couple of short sections of mud. Lots of puddles, but only the top mm or so was wet with good, solid ground underneath, making the riding great fun.

The weather didn't look too encouraging in Croydon but by the time we met at Peaslake it had eased off to drizzle. 7 in total today. Alboy was first to arrive eage to get a bit fitter, then Tamar, Keith, Grahame, Elliot and myself, Colin arrived later, riding up from Gomshall station.

Loops of Pitch Hill, christmas pudding, coffee and cake, youghurt pots, telegraph and barry washed down with more coffee and cake.

Photos say more.

brave boys and girls! I woke up to very heavy rain around forest hill and was glad I had done Saturday (when I had only a little bit of light rain) instead, rained most of Sunday at home as well.

Was a most splendid jaunt. HiFi got some new white mudguards (that were soon a delightful shade of gloop brown) and had a lovely time swooping round yoghurt pots, but was a bit of a wimp on the steep bit near start of Barry's and also another steep bit earlier in the day. Elliot wore out his rear brake and Keith broke the right hand arm on his front v-brake, which made it much easier for them to ride down steep scary stuff whether they intended to or not.

Luckily Grahame found a spare right hand v-brake arm in the box of toys in his garage, so we went round that evening and swapped it for some cake and everyone went to bed happy.

Hope you're feeling better soon Marco.
