Hi Amy, I moved it, leaving a shortcut here, while trying to do some tidying up yesterday. Increasingly everything seems to be put in the general forum and I was trying to resolve this.

A cursory read of title meant I misclassified it as a TT and thus a race.

What do you think is best, General or Sportive?

Technically it should be sportive but, like everyone else, I tend to look in General most of the time.

I've now moved it to Sportives leaving a shortcut here, so it can stil be accessed from its original location.

I have to say I only really tend to read General myself, and so I can see why everything tends to get posted here. But then I think this creates a vicious circle where the other forums (or fora) become less and less used, and thus less useful. I think this is worth countering. Also, there is an increasing tendency to post essentially the same topic in more than one forum and sometimes in the same forum.

The forum software does provide a few facilities which may be useful:
- as per above, moving topics while leaving a shortcut behind
- listing active topics - this could be used for example on the forum top level page to show the last 5 from each forum. I will investigate this.

Any thoughts are welcome.

I would just let it take its natural course, I think racing gets used a bit in the racing season as does results.
