London 2012

Postby Jon H » Tue Dec 21, 2010 2:05 pm

I've just registered my interest for olympics tickets, and discovered that London 2012 is operating a blatant age discrimination policy. As part of the registration process you have to enter your date of birth via pull-down thingies. All OK so far, but the year option only goes back as far as 1900.

So, what have they got against 110 year olds and above? I shall be writing to Lord Coe demanding an answer.

So what you're basically saying Jon is that you had to lie about your age.

I registered a while ago Jon and had the price list through a few weeks ago. Basically it ain't cheap, in fact a fair chunk of it is "priced for corporate" is the only way I can think to say it. Unless somone else is paying then start saving now.

I shall watch the road races and time trials for free from the roadside, the track is pretty pricey for most of it so I can happily give that a miss when the World Cup comes to the UK every year and will have the same, actually more, events with the same riders.

It might be pricey, but it's a once in a lifetime chance to see the Olympics in your hometown.
Anyway, I was more interested in the beach volleyball.

pricey...? Most of the events start at £20 to £50. I'll certainly be chucking the Snoop family hat in the ring for a few events. We'll never see the like again in our lifetime on home soil. Can you still buy a bicycle tyre for £20?
