Eating Insects???

Postby nick1smith » Fri Jul 08, 2011 10:22 pm

Just for my information and pleasure, I am a bit wierd..............

Am I the only one to eat insects  whilst riding??............Im sure I cant BEE  , either I am riding with my mouth more open :o of late or just unlucky  .

I used to get the occasional one every now and then but 4 in 3 days seems to be a bit full on.
I used to ride alot, I now ride a little BUT intend to ride more...........

Good nutrition though, if you avoid bees and other nasties then you could save a fortune in energy bars :D .

I'm waiting for Cycle Plus to give me a detailed guide to which insects I should be eating this month (they do it with fruit and vegetables and it's a different one every time). I would've thought that bees would be better than, say, flies as they would have a higher ratio of carbohydrate to protein. Plus they contain psuedosciencium - a mineral essential in the metabolism of malt loaf.
