Ninder and I did this last year and it was fantastic. Ninder did the short ride and says about it, 'It was a great weekend. We stayed in a B&B in Oxford. Ajay showed me around his alma mater, we went to the Raymond Blanc restaurant, and the next day I rode my first cyclosportif (and only so far!). It was a beautiful day and the ride was hard but I got a real sense of achievement from finishing it. Maria was my saviour, turning up out of the blue and riding with me for the last twenty miles.'
Other ACCers who did it last year were Tim Harris, Huw, Toks.
We both bought the t-shirts too. I've entered this year. The Cotswolds are rolling and the long ride has more than 2000 metres of climbing, so it's great training. The organisation is first rate and the helpers at the food stops were well prepared. The limit of 500 riders will ensure that the event is smooth and not overcrowded so it will be a good day. My advice is to enter straight away if you are interested as it will fill up.
