Builder/decorator/handyman type wanted

Hello,

I've been trying to get hold of someone to fix my flat up a bit before I put it on the market and not having much luck :(

The main bits that need doing are the windows - they need new handles on all of them, any other repairs (there's rot in the bathroom window) and then repainting - the lounge needs repainting especially after removing a fold down table from one wall and, if possible, repair the air extractor thingy.

Other than that it's mostly cosmetic stuff, like resealing the bathroom basin, patching up a damaged bit on a wall, filling various holes around the kitchen units and the like.

Once that's all done I can get the carpet relaid and start thinking about moving to a bigger place with maybe even somewhere I can sit outside without trekking down two floors and being overlooked from all angles :D

Please pm me or if you know my other contact details, phone or email. I need about two weeks' notice to take a week off and I won't be around the weeks beginning 22 August to 12 September - I'm already off for two weeks and I can't see them letting me have a third week off in a row...

Thanking you in advance :)

Hi Amy,

Are they modern double glazed windows?

If they are, go to the screwfix.com web site and type 'window handles' in the search box.

If you see some like yours then it could be an easy job.

Some handles rotate clockwise, others anticlockwise. How many handles need replacing?

Regards,
Brendan
